Karabük University successfully completed a "Training of Trainers" program for 41 academics from Uzbekistan. The training addressed current topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and innovative teaching technologies.
Academics from three different universities in Uzbekistan participated in the program, coordinated by the Karabük University Center for Continuing Education, Application, and Research (KASEM). Participants received theoretical and practical training on:
Personalized Learning and Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Higher Education,
Virtual and Augmented Reality Applications in Education,
Innovative Teaching Methods,
Digital Transformation Strategies.
The program aimed to equip academics with the knowledge and skills to lead digital transformation processes at their institutions.
A Turkic World Perspective in Training
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saidbek Boltabayev, Director of the KBU Chingiz Aytmatov Turkic World Application and Research Center, also contributed to the training process.
In his presentations titled "Education in the Turkic World: Past and Present" and "Transformation and Innovative Approaches in Education," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boltabayev addressed the common educational heritage, knowledge transfer culture, and contemporary transformation processes in the Turkic World.
In his speech, Boltabayev made the following assessments:
"The historical foundations of education in the Turkic World are very strong. However, we need to carry this heritage into the future with innovative methods, taking into account the requirements of the digital age. Such joint educational programs contribute to both our academic and cultural integration."
Certificates Awarded with Ceremony
The training program concluded with a certificate ceremony held in the Şehit Fırat Yılmaz Çakıroğlu Conference Hall of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The ceremony was attended by KBU Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hasan Solmaz and Prof. Dr. İsmail Rakıp Karaş; Uzbekistan University of Business and Science Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Bahtiyor Sattorov; Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Muhittin Kapanşahin; and numerous academics.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hasan Solmaz said, “We are delighted to welcome you to our university. We believe these mutual visits will further advance our academic collaborations.”
Prof. Dr. İsmail Rakıp Karaş emphasized the importance of the Transoxiana region in the history of science, saying, “This region has historically shaped the world of science, from Anatolia to Andalusia. We want to preserve the common heritage of the Turkic world and build a stronger future together.”
Prof. Dr. Bahtiyor Sattorov, Vice Rector of the Uzbekistan University of Business and Science, stated that this was his first visit to Karabük, saying, “Karabük’s nature, academic atmosphere, and human warmth are inspiring. We are proud of Karabük University’s achievements. Your achievements are our achievements as well.”
This meaningful event contributed to strengthening academic solidarity among universities in the Turkic World and developing a common educational vision.
