Hosted by Karabük University, a special program was organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality status.
The event was attended by the Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkmenistan in Ankara, Prof. Dr. İsmail Rakıp Karaş, Vice Rector of Karabük University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Polat, Director of the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saidbek Boltabayev, Director of the Chingiz Aytmatov Center for the Turkic World Application and Research; Dr. Abdullah Yakşi, Deputy Director of the Center; as well as academic staff and numerous students from Turkmenistan.

Within the scope of the event, Dr. Abdullah Yakşi delivered a speech addressing the historical and political significance of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality status, its place in international relations, and its importance in the context of contemporary Turkic World integration. He also emphasized the contributions of the neutrality principle to regional stability and cooperation.
The program attracted great interest from academics and students, and at the end of the event, participants were served Turkistan pilaf, one of the important dishes of Turkmen cuisine.
In addition, an exhibition reflecting the historical and cultural heritage of Turkmenistan was presented to visitors as part of the program. Through traditional cultural elements, visual materials, and cultural objects unique to Turkmen culture, the exhibition introduced Turkmenistan’s rich cultural heritage. The exhibition was visited with great interest by participants and stood out as an important component enhancing the cultural dimension of the event.
